Sage Francis at The Fonda.

Last Thursday I saw Sage Francis at the Henry Fonda theatre here in LA. He rocked both the house and my ass. If you don’t know Sage Francis, then get with the program. He’s hip-hop, but politically progressive underground hip-hop. At least he came out of the underground. He’s on Epitaph now, which is a pretty big minor label (and traditionally a punk label) so I don’t know if he qualifies as underground anymore. Anyway, his new album A Healthy Distrust is out now. Check it out. His opening act/back-up band, The Soliloquists of Sound, were also awesome. I’m looking forward to hearing more from them.
