So for my birthday this year the Onion A.V. Club decided to write up one of my favorite albums for their "Permanent Records: Albums From the A.V. Club's Hall of Fame" feature.
You should go read their review of Beulah's The Coast Is Never Clear and then go buy the album. It's great.
On second thought... The Onion's review isn't very well written and won't tell you that much if you aren't already familiar with the record, so just take my word and go download it from iTunes. I'm just pleased to see Beulah (and this album in particular) getting some love. I feel like even though they were critically well received, they never got the same attention as some of their (less deserving, IMHO) indie rock contemporaries.
